Lucas D’Oyley says that there are five qualities you should always look for in a potential mate:

One quality to look for is someone who shares your values. “It’s so important to find someone who shares your core values,” she says. “If you’re looking for a lifetime partner, you want to make sure that they’re on the same page as you are when it comes to things like religion, family, and your future.”

Another important quality is someone who is supportive. “You want to find someone who is going to be a partner in life, not someone who is always trying to one-up you or put you down,” she says. “A good partner will be someone who is supportive and understanding, not someone who is always trying to compete with you.”

Someone who is honest and trustworthy is also key. “You want to find someone who you can trust with your heart,” she says. “Somebody who is honest and upfront about their feelings, and who you can count on to be there for you.”

A sense of humor is also important. “Life is too short to be with someone who doesn’t make you laugh,” she says. “Find someone who is funny and who can make you see the lighter side of life.”

Last but not least, Lucas D’Oyley says that you should always look for someone who is comfortable in their own skin. “You want to find someone who loves themselves and is comfortable in their own skin,” she says. “Somebody who is confident and secure, and who doesn’t need validation from anyone else.”
