Steph Curry isn’t just draining threes on the court; he’s making big moves off it, too. The Golden State Warriors superstar and Olympic champion just signed a long-term partnership with Google, stepping into a new role as the company’s official Performance Advisor, Black Enterprise reports.
In this role, Curry will bring his perspective as an elite athlete to some of Google’s biggest products, including Google Health, Google Pixel, and Google Cloud. That means he’ll be helping shape future hardware, train algorithms, and fine-tune the technology millions use daily.
Curry and his team have already gone all-in on the Pixel portfolio, incorporating Pixel phones, Pixel Watches, and Pixel Buds into their day-to-day lives. They’ve also made Gemini and Workspace part of their workflow, proving that this isn’t just a brand deal, it’s a full-on lifestyle.
Boardroom scored an exclusive interview with Curry, where he shared how much this opportunity means to him.
“Just the idea that I could be a sounding board and a part of a thought partner, and what they have in the pipeline from Google Health’s perspective is exciting,” Curry said.
That excitement translated directly to his famous Curry Camp. Thirty young athletes at the three-day training experience got a first-hand look at how Google’s AI technology can elevate their game through interactive demos and challenges.
“The world is changing overnight. We all know that. And how AI is being integrated is going to be important,” Curry said. “You don’t want to get left behind, and you want to make sure that it’s accessible to everybody. So that’s exciting.”
While the announcement may feel brand new, Curry revealed that this partnership with Google has actually been years in the making. Now, with basketball, business, and tech all in play, Curry is once again showing us that his range extends way beyond the three-point line.
