Veracity Savant

Some people talk about changing the game. Cierra Brooks is actually doing it.

The Baltimore native, now bicoastal between the DMV, New York, and LA, is the CEO and founder of The Cî Agency—a brand powerhouse built on authenticity, culture, and that rare mix of business savvy and creative magic.

Brooks’ love for entertainment started early.

“Growing up, I was deeply influenced by the way entertainment shaped culture and connected people,” she told MVEMNT. “Music specifically, can create a lasting emotional impact. I knew I wanted to be part of that creative force, to contribute to something bigger than myself and help bring stories to life that inspire, uplift, and provoke thought.”

That drive got a boost from mentors who saw her light and made sure it shined brighter.

“Specifically, I have to truly thank WEEN. Lauren Lake and Valeisha Butterfield are two women that saw a light in me and decided to take a chance and I’m forever grateful,” Brooks said. She also gave an “honorary mention” to Erin Harris for playing a pivotal role in her journey.

Brooks has a clear definition of what makes a brand stand out and has put it to good use. She’s leading the next wave of creative branding, and putting authenticity above all, working with notable influencers and celebrities alike. So far, she’s raked up a pretty impressive resume, working with a range of companies, from Pepsi to Femme It Forward.

“A good brand is more than a logo; it’s how it makes people feel. It’s consistent, trustworthy, and connects with its audience in a real way,” she explained. “It’s that emotional connection that keeps people coming back.”

For Brooks, the magic ingredient is keeping it real. She refuses to chase trends or copy what’s hot, choosing instead to tell honest stories and amplify voices that don’t always get heard.

“That genuine approach helps me stand out and build deeper, more meaningful connections in my community,” she said.

Her path hasn’t been without challenges. As a Black woman entrepreneur, she’s had her credibility questioned before people even saw her work. Her response? Results.

“I overcame this by letting my results speak for themselves by showing up prepared, delivering excellence, and building a strong body of work,” she said. She leaned on her mentors and refused to shrink in any room, using authenticity as her greatest advantage.

The moment Brooks knew she was shaping culture and not just participating in it came when more people started trusting her with their brands and careers, and seeking her leadership.

“It wasn’t just about the projects or events I was part of, it was the way I showed up with purpose, authenticity and solution-based especially when it came to filling voids,” she said.

Still, her proudest moment was startingher own agency.

“Taking that leap of faith required a true level of resilience, and building something from the ground up is never easy. But the challenge made the reward so much more greater,” she said. “Probably one of the scariest yet greatest decisions of my life.”

Looking ahead, Brooks envisions her brand expanding into entertainment, tech, sports, and health, working on impactful projects that amplify underrepresented voices. She wants her legacy to be as much about opening doors for others as it is about her accomplishments.

Her advice to other Black creatives and entrepreneurs is as honest as it gets:

“Own your voice unapologetically. Don’t water yourself down or dim your light to fit someone else’s mold. Your perspective is your power, and the world needs it exactly as it is. Build your network, protect your vision, and remember, you’re not just creating for today, you’re paving the way for the ones coming after you.”
