Veracity Savant

Jaden Smith just added another major title to his already stacked résumé, and this one is straight from the front row of fashion. The 27-year-old rapper, actor, and eco-entrepreneur is officially Christian Louboutin’s first men’s creative director, bringing his bold vision and fearless style to one of the world’s most iconic luxury brands, AfroTech reports.

Smith is packing his bags for Paris, where he’ll design men’s shoes, leather goods, and accessories while also curating campaigns, events, and full-on immersive experiences. His first collection is set to debut in January during Paris Men’s Fashion Week, and he’ll oversee four collections a year.

“This is one of the biggest honors of my life, and I feel a lot of pressure to be able to live up to everything that Christian has done for the house, and also stepping into such a serious role,” Smith told reporters.

The move comes after years of friendship between Smith and Louboutin, which started with a chance meeting in Paris and grew into a creative partnership rooted in a shared vision. In a press release, Louboutin said, “When I first met Jaden, I saw in him a natural fit for the Maison. His world is rich and multidimensional, his style and cultural sensibility are inspiring, and his curiosity and openness are remarkable.”

He continued, “I felt that with his creative direction our men’s collection would evolve in an exciting and dynamic way. He feels like the perfect addition to our creative team, and I am truly looking forward to working with him on our men’s collections.”

This milestone marks a new chapter not only for Louboutin’s men’s line, which has dipped in recent years, but also for Smith himself. Beyond music and film, he’s proven himself a force in business and philanthropy, co-founding JUST Water to reduce plastic use and launching the “I Love You” food truck and restaurant to feed unhoused communities in Los Angeles.

“Merging my vision with Christian’s comes quite naturally because we see the world in a very similar way,” Smith said in a statement shared with PEOPLE. “It isn’t just a title — it’s a creative home. Christian has given me a place to explore, to learn, and to create freely. His legacy is built on hard work and joy, and I want to carry that forward.”

For those who’ve followed Smith’s unapologetic fashion journey — from showing up to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s wedding in a white Batman suit to rocking his cut-off locs as an accessory at the Met Gala — this move feels like destiny. Now, he’s about to take that same daring energy and channel it into collections that could reshape the future of men’s luxury fashion.

Paris, get ready — Jaden Smith is about to turn the red soles into a whole new era of statement-making style.
